Ephesians 5:1-20 gives us 15 steps to understanding the will of God:
1. Be imitators of God.
2. Live a life of love.
3. Do not get involved with even a hint of sin.
4. Live as children of light.
5. Exhibit the fruit of goodness, righteousness and truth.
6. Find out what pleases God.
7. Expose the deeds of darkness.
8. Wake up.
9. Walk carefully.
10. Be wise.
11. Make the most of every opportunity.
12. Be filled with the Spirit.
13. Sing and make melody in your heart to the Lord.
14. Be thankful.
15. Then you will understand what the will of the Lord is.
